i've started a new job and i'm exhausted and my feet hurt and it takes all my time!

but yay for money!!!

It's Father's Day and I'm stuck here in Oklahoma doing homework. I wish I could have gone up to Chicago to see my family, I'm missing fathers day today and my dads birthday next week. Stupid work and summer school. Oh yes I got a job, I start next Sunday! I told my dad in his honor I was going to go to the bar tonight and drink on his money in his honor, he laughed and told me to have fun but not to get in trouble because he didn't want to have to bail me out of jail! i laughed and promised him no trouble! I'll most likely just spend my evening doing homework and maybe sitting out by the pool.

I've been watching the news all day because there isn't much else on tv, and the situation in Iran makes me sick and really sad. Its sad that all these people are fighting so hard to have their voices heard and apparently everyone BUT their own government hears them, they are just ignoring them. It makes me really glad to live in the US, people complain about things here, but look at other countries like Iran and realize we have it soooo much better!

yesterday andrew and i adventured around the city and our adventuring ended with us having a crawfish and shrimp boil, complete with red potatoes, corn and onions. it was WONDERFUL and i ate entirely too much but it was completely worth it. while we were getting dinner ready the crawfish kept trying to escape the sink and fight each other and they got really angry with me when i sprayed water on them, it was funny! ill put some pictures up later!.

off to do more homework and cleaning!!

its laundry day! its so hot outside so i'm inside doing homework and laundry and watching cash cab. but i am debating going over to the pool and doing homework there. i love cash cab, i hope next time i go to NYC i can get in the cash cab and win some money! i've been job hunting all day since i got out of class, its not going well. i am going to have to get a job in the city and i was really hoping to find on in edmond, oh well! i need the money so i'll take what i can get! the new season of true blood started last night, andrew and i are going to watch it later if he is feeling better. i'm excited, its such a great show and if you haven't seen it you should start watching! i would love to take a nap, but instead i must run to change my laundry because the washer just finished!

sitting on my couch

I'm sitting here on my couch wearing the slanket my mom bought me, feeling very silly but quite warm and comfortable while watching Gilmore Girls re-runs on tv.

I made it through the first week of summer school alive and my first test today. I did ok on the test, I am so used to straight forward tests in all my art history classes but the class I'm in is Business Communications and they are always trying to trick you and give you so many choices that could be right, its makes me a little crazy!!

Mom left town last friday, I miss her, we had lots of fun together while she was here. But Friday night andrew cooked me dinner and we went on a picnic and went out for a drink and then saw the hangover and it was HILARIOUS!!! i can't wait to go see it again.  last night jay and i danced around in the rain outside of the bar, they closed Hudsons early because it was so dead so we played around in the rain because everyone was so happy to get off work early. 

Oh the other night there was HORRIBLE car accident on kickingbird, the street outside my apartment, this guy was trapped in his car he had flipped. I swear every cop in Edmond on and off duty was here, multiple fire trucks and ambulances and they even had to land the helicopter form the hospital in the middle of the street to come get him. It was really sad and i keep searching for news about it to see if this guy is ok and i can't find anything out and it's making me crazy because i am so worried. so i just keep hoping that he is ok and telling myself he must be because surely we would have heard if someone had died in a bad car wreck in edmond. sorry to be such a downer but this is something that i have thought about everyday since then.

on a lighter note weeds one of my favorite shows starts tonight!! yay! and true blood next week! andrew is coming over for dinner and to catch up on old episodes of true blood before it starts back. i might go for a swim now! hope it rains some more, i like to listen to the rain and dance around in it. 

summer time has been busy!

well i've been thinking of starting a blog for a while now since everyone else I know has one. plus i had to start one for my class, but i do think i'll continue to use it outside of class, i probably just have to remember to censor myself sometimes because people in class will read it. because any of you who know me do know I'm sort of crazy (but in a good way)

my mom is in town and helping me move in to a new really cute apartment! (no andrew and i did not break up for those of you freaking out wondering, i deleted what i had written here i felt it was for the best . i live in the same complex as a lot of my friends and still really close to andrew so its nice. and its also a lot of fun to have mom in town to hang out with and spend time together! plus she has bought me all kinds of cute stuff for my new place!

my little sister graduated high school and i'm so proud of her. my summer has been non stop busy since school got out, between going to chicago to see my family and sister graduate to coming back and having to move and now to search for a job! because after a year and two weeks i am FINALLY out of my boot and could not be happier. incase you don't know i had a broken foot for a year and two weeks and it was such an ordeal and i had to have surgery and everything so now i am enjoying walking, running and jumping around everywhere on TWO feet!
